8/26 The Coconino County Board of Supervisors Tuesday voted in favor of the Intergovernmental Agreement with the Arizona Department of Forestry and Fire Management. The IGA is in place for 5-years and establishes a framework to plan, implement, fund and report on forest restoration, hazardous fuel reduction and wildfire mitigation projects across the county. The IGA adds to the plans already in place through several, already established forest agreements. While the agreement does not directly commit County funds, individual projects may be supported through a combination of County General Fund resources and state or federal grants.
