6/30 The National Interagency Fire Center says firefighters responded to 83-new wildfires across the nation on Monday. Officials say there are 8-new, large wildfires being fought with a total of 54-large fires burning in the country. The National Preparedness Level increased to 4 on Monday. The largest fire in the nation is the 93,918-acre Cottonwood Fire near Beaver, Utah. So far this year, 35,884-fires have burned more than 3.1-million acres across the United States.
