3/20 Page Police arrested 2-reported gang members in connection with a shooting that occurred on March 10-th. At the time of the shooting, several rounds were fired into a vehicle, striking one victim in the head; the victim is expected to make a full recovery. March 11-th, a search warrant was served at a local business where the suspect vehicle and one of the suspects were located. A second suspect was arrested on March 16-th. In addition to the shooting, the second suspect was also wanted for a separate assault in which a person was hit over the head with a pipe. The second suspect fled from officers, but a deployed drone helped officers track the suspect to a nearby yard where he was arrested. Both suspects are charged with attempted 1-st degree murder and 2-counts of aggravated assault with a weapon. Officials say the suspects have ties to gangs in Texas and Arizona and both have spent numerous years in prison for other crimes. The gun used in the shooting was also recovered.
