Craigslist scam takes $1,500 from female victim

Friday morning, a woman met a man in an area parking lot to purchase a vehicle the man was selling on Craigslist. Prescott Valley Police spokesman Jerry Ferguson says the woman, her child and the man then drove the vehicle to an area Wal-Mart. While in the store, the man told the woman he needed to get the vin-number from the vehicle; he never returned. The man signed the name of Jeffrey Muadan on the paper. He says the victim had already given the suspect the $1,500. The suspect was only described as an African American male. Surveillance video from the store only showed the last two digits of the vehicle’s license plate; 27. The vehicle was a blue 2011 Ford Taurus four-door sedan. Anyone with information on the case is urged to contact police.
