Clarkdale Police responded to a fatal single-vehicle ATV rollover accident on Forest Road-493 in the Blowout Wash recreation area on Saturday afternoon. Officials say a 15-year old from Payson was pronounced dead on scene. The other 15-year old occupant also from Payson, was transported by ambulance to VVMC for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. The cause of the accident is under investigation. Drugs or alcohol are not suspected. Both victims were not wearing helmets at the time of the crash. Names will not be released due to the victims being minors.
