PV determining how to spend American Rescue Plan Act funds

Prescott Valley is expected to receive $7.6-million in Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds from the American Rescue Plan Act. Town staff went to the council this week with a plan on how $4.6-million of those funds should be used. It includes $500,000 for small business exterior enhancement grants; $200,000 for mitigation of substance abuse; $30,000 for Skate Park security; $250,000 for broadband infrastructure research and or cybersecurity; $1.2 million for the Smart Water Meter Program and $2.4 million for Florentine Road improvements. How to use the remaining $3-million will be decided at a later date. The Town will release more information, especially as they apply to the Small Business Exterior Enhancement Grants, as soon as the program’s parameters are finalized.
