Registered voters in the Mingus Union High School District are voting yes or no on a Budget Override Continuation. Superintendent Mike Westcott says the continuation helps fund the schools maintenance and operations budget. He says a yes vote will authorize the continuation of the current override; it’s not a new tax, a new override, or a new tax override. It provides an additional $800,000 a year that the district has been receiving and will continue to receive with voter approval. Voting is underway and continues through November 2-nd. Contact the school district for more information. Cottonwood-Oak Creek School District voters are deciding a similar budget override continuation.
