Governor Doug Ducey ordered flags at all state buildings be lowered to half-staff from sunrise to sunset Wednesday to honor La Paz County Sgt. Michael Rudd, who was struck and killed by a commercial vehicle during a pursuit Monday. The incident occurred on I-10 near the California border. Rudd was struck as he exited his vehicle to make contact with the driver he had been chasing. The driver of the commercial vehicle that struck Rudd remained on scene; the suspect in the pursuit was arrested.
