The Town of Clarkdale is closer to having a new Town Manager. Officials say out of 40-applicants, 3-finalists have been chosen. The candidates are Aaron Baker who recently served as the City Manager of Mesquite, Nevada, Susan Guthrie who served as Town Manager of Sunnyvale, Texas and Tabatha Miller who was the City Manager of Fort Bragg, California. A public Meet and Greet is set for Monday from 4:30-to-6:30 at the Clark Memorial Clubhouse.
Good by to a woman who created a hostile work environment that resulted in unprecedented exodus of management staff at the City of Fort Bragg. She chased off or fired the Police Chief, City Attorney, Director of HR, Director of Community Development, Director of Finance, Police Lieutenant, two Senior Planners, and the IT manager all in three years. Also the City of Fort Bragg did not have a deficit for any of the seven years before she arrived. She bungled the purchase of the Mill Site from GP.
