Sunday afternoon, Copper Canyon Fire responded to a house fire in the 4030-block of Cripple Creek Drive in Camp Verde. Battalion Chief Eric Strauss says initial reports stated the single story home was fully involved in fire, but once on scene it was determined to be only 25% involved. Crews deployed attack lines through the front of the house and extinguished the fire in about 10-minutes. The occupant made it safely out of the home only suffering a little smoke inhalation, which they were treated for on scene. Verde Valley Fire assisted on the call. No other injuries were reported and the cause is under investigation.
