Monday through Wednesday, forest thinning on the Parks West Project on the Kaibab National Forest will occur around the Keyhole Sink Trail, west of Parks off Old Route-66. Heavy equipment will be felling trees and hauling material near the trail on both sides. The Oak Hill Snow Play Area, which is used to access Keyhole Sink Trail, will be used as a staging area and will be closed to the public. The area should reopen Thursday.
