Prescott Valley, Prescott and Chino Valley Police Departments and YCSO conducted a speed enforcement detail on Highway-89A and Fain Road Tuesday. The section of roadway was chosen due to an increase of traffic, numerous complaints of speeding vehicles and a recent increase in traffic collisions. A total of 62-traffic stops were conducted with officers issuing 52-speeding citations, 3-criminal speed citations and 1-DUI arrest. A criminal speed citation is issued when the driver is traveling at least 21-mile per hour over the speed limit or exceeding 85-mph. The highest speed recorded during the 4-hour detail was 92.
