Friday, DPS responded to a three vehicle head-on fatal collision on Highway-260 west of Heber-Overgaard. Officials say a vehicle traveling westbound on 260 went left of center and struck two other vehicles in the eastbound lane. The driver of one of the vehicles hit was 67-year old Michael Lemon of Payson; he was pronounced dead on scene. The other drivers and passengers involved were transported by air to a Phoenix area hospital for treatment. The name of the driver that caused the crash has not been released.
