The National Weather Service in Flagstaff says a high pressure continues to dominate the region, causing temperatures to be an average of 5-to-10-degrees above normal. Today should be the hottest day this week, however, relief will come at night thanks to clear skies and dropping temperatures. Forecasters say the question remains about if the monsoon has come to an end. Officials say it’s hard to answer right now. The last few days have seen models jump back and forth between bone dry and slight chances for more rainfall by the end of the week. Temperatures will drop to near normal by this next weekend.
