The Coconino National Forest will open three free use wood collection areas on the Flagstaff Ranger District starting Wednesday. Officials say the three free use areas are Hart Prairie, Highway-180 and A1. Signs will be in place to clearly identify the free use areas. Interested parties must possess a free use permit to collect and cut firewood. Contact the forest for more information.
