Wednesday afternoon, Camp Verde Marshal’s Office Deputies responded to a home in the 3500-block of West Northern Avenue for a welfare check. Upon arrival, Deputies found remains of an unidentified person in the backyard. The YCSO Crime Scene Unit responded and both the interior and exterior of the home were examined and processed for any additional information as to the cause of death of the person. The remains were sent to the Yavapai County Medical Examiner’s Officer in hopes an identity and cause of death can be confirmed. The investigation continues.
