In July, the Camp Verde Marshal’s Office began investigating a case of luring a minor for sexual exploitation. In early August, further information was gathered, which led to the arrest of 23-year old Paul-Rene William Carlson. Officials say he’s a Level-3 Sex Offender who was living in the 200-block of Silver Bugle. He reportedly responded to a Facebook Messenger post from a “16-year old Female” who agreed to meet Carlson to engage in sexual activity; the girl never arrived. A search of his home resulted in Carlson’s arrest for violating his probation; he was also charged with aggravated luring of a minor for sexual exploitation.
