Just before 5:30 Wednesday morning, Sedona Police and Fire responded to a fatal vehicle versus pedestrian crash on Highway-89A in Oak Creek Canyon near Midgely Bridge. Officials say a pedestrian on the roadway was struck by a vehicle headed northbound. The pedestrian was pronounced deceased on the scene by Sedona Fire. The incident remains under investigation and no names have been released. The crash forced the closure of the highway for 5-hours.
