Riverfront Park in Cottonwood closed due to flood damage

Riverfront Park in Cottonwood is closed due to flood damage. The Verde River overflowed into the park Wednesday night. The disc golf course, some hiking trails, the adult softball complex and the children’s play area at the northeast end of the park have been impacted by floodwaters and are closed. The city hopes to reopen the park by Monday.
