Mingus Union High School football coach Doug Provenzano has stepped down. Provenzano cited the strain of COVID issues, a diminishing roster, the daily commute from the valley and being away from his family as reasons for his decision, according to the Arizona Republic. Provenzano was hired by Mingus Union in the Spring of 2020 after spending time with Barry Goldwater and Peoria Liberty. He led Mingus to a 1-6 record in his only season with the team. The Marauders start the season September 3-rd on the road against Thunderbird High School.
