Monday, DPS and several Yavapai County law enforcement agencies were involved in a pursuit that started on I-40 near Highway-89 in the morning and ended on I-17 near Black Canyon City in the afternoon. Officials say 36-year old Sean Wilson refused to stop and led a Trooper on a pursuit down I-40 and Highway-89. The pursuit was called off when he reached a populated area. The pursuit began again on southbound I-17 at which time spike strips were used to flatten two tires on Wilson’s vehicle. Wilson continued to drive on the rims until the vehicle ran out of gas. He was arrested on charges that include kidnapping, aggravated DUI, felony flight and reckless driving. During the first chase, Wilson also collided with a Prescott Police officers vehicle.
