A Chino Valley man was killed in a 3-vehicle crash near Paulden last Friday night. Officials say 45-year old Ismael Hernandez-Ponciano was headed northbound on Highway-89 when he crossed the center-line and collided with a horse trailer being towed by a truck. He then bounced off the trailer and hit a second vehicle head-on. Hernandez-Ponciano was pronounced dead on scene. A passenger in the second vehicle was taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. A horse that was ejected from the trailer suffered minor injuries.
