Cottonwood Police responded to a vehicle accident in the 600-block of East Highway-89A Thursday afternoon. Sergeant Chad Sinn says a vehicle towing a small trailer failed to yield from a private business as it was making a left turn and was struck by a vehicle traveling in the eastbound lane. The driver of the second vehicle told officials she attempted to stop to prevent the accident but it was too late. She was taken to VVMC for treatment of minor injuries. Her vehicle sustained moderate damage to the front end and was towed away from the scene. The driver towing the trailer was issued a citation for failure to yield.
