YCSO issued a missing persons report for 49-year old Patrick Higgins of Prescott. Higgins was last seen on July 13-th when he and friends went 4-wheeling in the Bannie Mine area near Walker. The vehicle they were in became stuck and in the morning, Higgins began to hike out of the area; he’s not been heard from since. The missing persons flier is posted on our news page at myradioplace.com
I want to know why a search party was not organized for this man. I live in Walker and I know that most of us up here would gladly participate in a search party had we even known about this. And now it’s two weeks later!!! Why didn’t anyone do anything??? This is both sad and disgusting.
I agree. I hike up in Prescott everyday, and only became aware of this today. If I hadn’t seen the flyer when I arrived at Thumb Butte a little bit ago, I may have never became aware. There is virtually no cell signal back in that area, so I don’t see how he could have even had a chance to call for help. Help should have been sent to him. I would have/will gladly participate. Prayers to him & his family.
Is there still not a search party formed for him? I know it’s been 2 weeks but what about trying to find him in order to bring his family closure? I agree with Jennifer and Kim, if YCSO is aware of this and issuing a missing persons why haven’t we started forming some search parties similar to what we did for Faith and her family. This family deserves closure as well or are we doing the same and it’s not getting reported?
