Sedona Fire District wants to remind everyone of the importance of speaking with children about playing with fire. Officials say far too many lives have been devastated by a curious child experimenting with a lighter or matches. They say taking the time to show children the safe way adults can use fire takes big step towards reducing that curiosity, and having an open dialogue that stresses the dangers fire can create is the best way to educate our kids to be safe and healthy. Officials say it’s never too early to begin these talks, more than half of child caused fires are started by Preschoolers and Kindergarteners.
