Woman on meth linked to three vehicle crash on Cornville Road

YCSO released details into a crash that occurred on Cornville Road last Thursday afternoon. Spokesman Dwight D’Evelyn says a total of 3-vehicles were involved in the crash with two heavily damaged. He says witnesses reported that the vehicle driven by 47-year old Arlene Johnson of Mesa, hit a white van head-on after crossing the double yellow line. Johnson was taken to VVMC where she was found to be in possession of a gram of methamphetamine and a glass pipe. D’Evelyn says she tried to throw the items away, but they were recovered by deputies. Johnson admitted smoking methamphetamine within last 2-days along with regular meth use over the last several years. She’s facing several felony charges.
