Copper Canyon Fire and neighboring agencies doused a fire Saturday on the old Beaver Creek Golf Course. Officials say the fire was moving quickly through grass and brush due to the high winds. As crews arrived they were stationed in the nearby neighborhoods to douse any spot fires that occurred and to protect structures. The fire was contained to 5-acres. Officials say some private property was destroyed or damaged by the fire, but there were no reported injuries or homes lost. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
