YCSO is asking for the public help in locating 69-year old Mark Barry of Cave Creek. Spokesman Chris Wilson says deputies have been searching for Barry since Monday after receiving a report about an abandoned blue Honda CRV on Forest Road-24 near Cave Creek Road. He says Barry’s vehicle appeared to have become disabled on the dirt road after experiencing a punctured oil pan. Attempts to locate and make contact with him were unsuccessful. Deputies were able to reach family members, but they have not been in contact with Mr. Barry for several days. Deputies searched the surrounding area where his vehicle was found and couldn’t find him. Wilson says K9 units and Search and Rescue teams did an extensive search of the area but could not locate Barry. Witnesses that saw Barry drive his vehicle on the forest road on May 11-th, did not see him experience any mechanical issues. Anyone with information is asked to contact YCSO or Yavapai Silent Witness. Foul play is not suspected at this time.
