The Coconino County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report from census workers of gun shots being fired in the Kaibab Estates West area Monday. Spokesman Jon Paxton says the workers told dispatch that they heard a loud gun shot while exiting their car to check an address. As they got into their car to leave, 55-year old Kory Beihn approached the vehicle carrying a shotgun. The worker identified themselves and left the area. Beihn was booked into the Coconino County Jail for charges involving threatening and intimidation. Paxton says the investigation is ongoing.
