Tagger injured in fall

A graffiti artist was injured while painting a concrete wall in a ditch near Prescott Saturday. YCSO Spokesman Dwight D’Evelyn says the 26-year old Prescott man fell while tagging the wall with spray-paint. He says the incident occurred off of Highway-89 near Prescott. He says GPS was used to locate the man who suffered a broken leg, cuts and bruises. The Yavapai County Search and Rescue Backcountry Unit stabilized the man and helped get him to YRMC. D’Evelyn says it was learned the man had been ‘tagging’ inside the drainage tunnel when he slipped on some moss and fell into a ravine. The man, whose name was not released, was cited for criminal damage. A bag of spray cans were recovered.
