Copper Canyon Fire responded to a semi-truck fire in the south-bound lanes of I-17 near the truck pull out at the top of Copper Canyon Sunday afternoon. Battalion Chief Eric Strauss. He says the truck was hauling ice that was stored in large black containers, which contributed to the fire. He says it took about a half-an-hour to control the fire and put it completely out. A small patch of grass was burned but quickly doused. Strauss says the cause of the fire is still under investigation. No injuries were reported.
