A Phoenix man was killed in a single vehicle crash on I-17 near Camp Verde Saturday night. DPS says for unknown reasons the vehicle driven by 22-year old Morgan Kelsey drove into the median and collided with a tree. Officials say Kelsey was taken to Verde Valley Medical Center where he died a short time later. His passenger suffered minor injuries and was treated and released. This was the 6-th crash on Saturday that DPS responded too. They had 4 crashes between 11-am and noon with another during the afternoon. The other 5 crashes occurred between Sunset Point Rest Area and New River. Between January 1-st and the 14-th there have been 29 people killed in vehicle crashes in Arizona.
