Central Arizona Fire officials say two men are posing as firefighters in Yavapai County

Central Arizona Fire officials say two men are posing as firefighters in Yavapai County and soliciting services and donations. Officials say the men, using the name Yavapai Co. Yavapai Fire Protection, are identified as Raymond Bagger and Joe Stanton. They say the men are not affiliated with any Yavapai County emergency services agency and do not have firefighter, wildland, or EMS qualifications and therefore cannot provide the services for which they are seeking donations. Officials say Yavapai Co. Yavapai Fire Protection do not have authority to operate a fire protection agency within the jurisdictional boundaries of an existing fire service agency and are not qualified to provide the services they claim. Officials say if you are approached by Bagger and Stanton and they offer to sell you a fire protection contract, or ask for donations, that you notify your local law enforcement agency immediately. Bagger and Stanton were last seen in the Viewpoint area of Prescott Valley in a light green Ford truck dressed similar to wildland firefighters and soliciting donations for victims of the CA wildland fires. Yavapai County Sheriff’s Department, Prescott Valley Police Department, and Chino Valley Police Department are investigating.
