Thursday afternoon, Verde Valley Fire responded to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Highway 89A and Page Springs Road. Battalion Chief Dean Koropatnicki says on arrival crews found two passenger vehicles that were involved in a “T-bone” style crash and one patient in each vehicle. North bound 89A and Page Springs Road were both shut down so that a helicopter could be landed to air lift one patient to FMC for treatment of serious injuries. The other person refused further treatment. 89A north bound was closed for approximately 1.5 hours while Page Springs Road was blocked for over 3-hours.
