DPS responded to I-40 in Holbrook early this morning for a fatal collision involving a pedestrian. Trooper Kameron Lee says the initial call came is as debris just before 2 a.m. Upon arrival, Lee says a body was located. He says troopers have located a vehicle thought to have struck the body. Eastbound I-40 was closed and traffic was re-routed through Holbrook. Lee says DPS was waiting for the medical examiner and finishing the investigation at the scene before they can re-open the road. Lee says the closure would likely to be lengthy.
