1/6 YCSO arrested a Mayer man and woman on child abuse charges last Thursday. Last month, Phoenix Children’s Hospital reported a 5-year-old boy suffering from several bruises, a puffy face, malnourishment and a fractured femur. The mother claimed the child received the injuries after falling out of bed. The investigation led to the arrest of the mother and step father for child abuse and endangerment. Names were not released. Currently, the child is recovering from the injuries and is said to be doing well.
