12/20 As fire crews work to contain the human caused Horton and Soap Fires, they’re asking the public to be careful with anything that could cause a spark and start additional fires. Fire danger on the Tonto, Prescott and Coconino National Forests is currently “Moderate to High” with “Low to Moderate” fire danger on the Kaibab and Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests. A lack of rain and snow this winter has kept conditions very dry. Remember to make sure campfires are out before being left unattended and that you’re not dragging anything metal that could cause a spark along roadways.
