Coconino County Clearing Up Misinformation Related to Voting Federal-Only Ballots/Press Release Attached

Misinformation Alert from Coconino County Elections
As of midday today, the Coconino County Elections Department (Elections) is
pleased to report that all polling locations are open and functional with moderate
to little waiting times. However, the Elections staff would like to make the public
aware of misinformation circulating regarding who is allowed to vote in Coconino
County on Election Day.
We have heard that voters at our polling locations have been incorrectly informed
by an unknown group that they can vote using a Federal-only ballot in Coconino
County, even if they are registered to vote in a different Arizona county. Arizona
law does not allow for this, and we recommend that voters should only vote in
their registered county. Voters may check their voter registration at
my.arizona.vote before arriving to a polling location.
Polling Locations and Hours
Coconino County has 15 vote centers that allow any voter, regardless of
precinct, to vote at them and 24 precinct-specific polling locations. Polling
locations will be open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. today. All polling sites have
accessible voting devices for voters to vote independently. To find their
designated polling location, voters can visit the Coconino County Elections
Department website or call 928-679-7896.
Early Voting Ballot Drop-Off at Polling Locations
Early Ballot drop-off boxes are available for voters who have received their
ballots by mail and wish to return them before 7 p.m. today. Early Ballots, in their
signed affidavit, may be returned to any polling location throughout the County.
You do not need to wait in line!
