11/01 During the month of October, the U.S. Marshals Service partnered with over 20-law enforcement agencies in the state to conduct Operation Trick or Treat 2, an enforcement during the Halloween season to investigate and arrest non-compliant and fugitive sex offenders. The operation resulted in 36-arrests, including 13 for failure to register as a sex offender and 23 previously convicted sex offenders for other offenses. The operation continued last night as law enforcement personnel conducted compliance checks on hundreds of convicted sex offenders, to ensure they were not participating in any Halloween activities.
