10/31 Last Sunday, YCSO responded to a domestic violence call in the Prescott area involving a man and his pregnant wife. The initial investigation revealed the husband had thrown his wife to the floor, causing trauma to the wife’s abdomen. The husband was jailed for assault. The woman refused medical attention on scene, but did admit herself to the hospital where she learned her unborn child, who was 6-to-8-weeks old, was deceased. The husband was then additionally charged with attempted homicide. In an effort to protect the victim, names were not released.
