National Preparedness Level Drops from 5 to 4

10/18 The National Preparedness Level was downgraded from 5-to-4 today. The National Interagency Fire Center says while wildland fire activity continues across multiple geographic areas of the country, there has been a notable decrease in initial attack and large fire growth in most areas over the last week as well as a reduction in the ordering of all resource types. Yesterday marked the latest in the year the nation has been at a Preparedness Level-5.
