10/11 The Coconino County Sheriff’s Office says Russell Vinton’s body was found Thursday in an undisclosed location. The 66-year-old Prescott man was listed as missing after he failed to return home from a camping trip with a friend in the Jacob Lake area. Deputies found the campsite, but Vinton’s truck and camper were gone. This past Wednesday morning, Lake Havasu Police were shot at by 61-year-old Patrick Champion of Tennessee, who was driving Vinton’s truck. Officers returned fire, killing Champion. The case remains under investigation and is being handled as a homicide.
