7/25 DPS is remembering fallen Trooper Tyler Edenhofer who was shot and killed in the line of duty in the late-night hours of July 25-th, 2018. Trooper Edenhofer was finishing his last night of Field Training when calls came in of a man on the side of the road throwing debris at passing vehicles on I-10 near Avondale. Edenhofer arrived to help a second Trooper who was on scene. An altercation ensued at which time the suspect got a hold of one of the Trooper’s guns and shot twice, killing Edenhofer. He is the youngest fallen trooper from DPS.
