7/25 The Cottonwood Police Department has a new K9 team. Officer Rafferty and K9 Eddie recently achieved certification through the National Police Canine Association in explosive detection. The certification makes Eddie the only explosives detection dog in the Verde Valley and one of the few in Yavapai and Coconino counties. This is just one of Eddie’s skills. Officer Rafferty brings a wealth of expertise from his previous role in Maricopa County and his extensive background in dog training.
