On June 24, 2024, a Navajo County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Interdiction Unit conducted a traffic stop for multiple traffic violations on Interstate 40 at milepost 252, in the Winslow area.
During the traffic stop, K-9 Kilo was deployed to perform a free-air sniff of the vehicle, resulting in a positive alert. A search of the vehicle revealed over 27 pounds of Methamphetamine, with an estimated street value of nearly $524,000.
Cristian Rodrigo Pando-Herras (23) of Mexico, was arrested and booked into NCSO Jail for transportation of dangerous drugs for sale, possession of dangerous drugs for sale, and possession of dangerous drugs. Christian is currently being held on a $150,000 cash-only bond.
