Prescott Man Arrested After Damaging Several Properties

On June 22, 2024, at approximately 1:18 A.M. Prescott Police Officers responded to the 1000 block of Fair Street after receiving a report of criminal damage to several businesses in the area.

Upon arrival, officers found several windows at area businesses broken along with damage to several vehicles as well. At the time officers were unsuccessful in locating the suspect involved.

Later, Officers began receiving reports of other criminal damage cases in the area and extending east on Hillside Ave and Miller Valley Road. Officers were able to access security footage which gave a detailed description of the suspect.

At approximately 9:50 A.M. Officers were dispatched to the 800 block of Cambell Street upon the report of criminal damage in progress. According to the victim of this case the suspect was utilizing a sledgehammer to strike a satellite dish that was mounted to the residence. Officers were able to locate the suspect in the area of Lincoln Ave and Dameron Drive and take him into custody.

The suspect was identified as 39-year-old Prescott resident, Giovanni Scorelle. Scorelle was tied to six different criminal damage reports with a total estimated loss of over $20,000. Scorelle had been previously arrested by Prescott Police Officers on June 1st, 2024, after he caused an estimated $30,000 in damages to the residence he was leasing. Scorelle was booked into Yavapai County Jail on numerous charges of Felony Criminal Damage.
