Prescott Valley Selected to Participate in ICMA Economic Mobility Cohort

The Town of Prescott Valley is thrilled to announce that it has been chosen as one of the 15 cities invited to participate in the ICMA Economic Mobility (EMO) Cohort. The International City/County Managers Association (ICMA) has selected Prescott Valley to take part in a cohort of peer learning aimed at improving economic mobility within the community. As part of this program, the Town of Prescott Valley will receive a $24,000 grant to support initiatives related to economic mobility.

Economic mobility is a crucial factor in enabling low-income and impoverished individuals to achieve greater prosperity. This program, now in its second year, offers a unique opportunity for the Town to address needs related to housing, economic and workforce development, childcare, transportation, and other factors affecting residents’ ability to advance. It also provides a platform for building a professional network and accessing expertise from researchers and practitioners working on similar issues and challenges in communities across the country. This grant directly aligns with the Town’s strategic plan to enhance the quality of life for Prescott Valley residents.

The Town of Prescott Valley is looking forward to participating in this program and working to enhance economic mobility within the community. This opportunity will not only benefit our residents but also allow us to showcase Prescott Valley nationally as a proactive and prosperous community.
