The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office along with other local enforcement officers are joining the U.S. Department of Transportation’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the Arizona Governor’s Office of Highway Safety (GOHS) in urging drivers to buckle up ahead of the national Click It or Ticket high-visibility seat belt enforcement effort. This campaign coincides with the Memorial Day holiday, running from May 20 to June 2, 2024.
No matter who you are, the type of vehicle you’re driving, or the type of road you’re driving on, the best way to stay safe in case of a crash is to wear your seat belt. Unfortunately, many families are suffering because their loved ones refused to follow this simple step. Remember to buckle up: Click It, Don’t Risk It. Seat Belts Save Lives.
