Man Arrested For Drugs At Clarkdale School

Clarkdale Police Department officers arrested 47-year-old Nicholas Wegman of Clarkdale on Tuesday, May 14 for possession of dangerous drugs in a school zone.

On Monday, May 13, food service staff at Clarkdale Jerome School in Clarkdale found a clear plastic baggie with an unknown white substance that appeared to be drugs on the floor in the school kitchen. School staff immediately notified Clarkdale Police Department. Officers collected and tested the substance, which tested positive for methamphetamine/ecstasy.

Clarkdale Police Department, in conjunction with Clarkdale Jerome School, conducted an investigation. After interviewing kitchen staff, Wegman confessed the drugs were his. Wegman was arrested for possession of dangerous drugs and possession of dangerous drugs in a school zone and booked into the Yavapai County Jail.
