The Arizona Department of Transportation is advising drivers, area residents and businesses to plan for a series of overnight closures of the Interstate 17 and Middle Verde Road interchange (Exit 290) in Camp Verde beginning 9 p.m. Sunday evening, April 21, through 5 a.m. Tuesday morning, April 23.
- North- and southbound I-17 off- and on-ramps at the Middle Verde Road exit will be closed.
- East- and westbound Middle Verde Road will be closed at I-17.
- Detours providing access to or from Middle Verde Road will be in place overnight via the I-17/ State Route 260 interchange (I-17 Exit 287).
- The restrictions will be lifted during daytime hours.
Signage will be in place to help drivers navigate around the closures. Motorists should allow for extra travel time while the closures are in place and reduce speed in the work zone.
The overnight closures are needed so crews can safely complete pavement repairs along the traffic interchange.
